Suriya character in ‘Ratha Charithiram’ battling for life

In the recently released film ‘Ratha Charithiram’ Suriya had excelled in the character of Maddelacheruvu Suri who was on a war path to avenge the death of his family. The film was based on real rivalry between two gangsters Paritala Ravi and Maddelacheruvu Suri. Paritala Ravi was killed in factional rivalry in 2005.

Breaking news now is that Maddelacheruvu Suri has been shot and critically wounded by unidentified persons at Navodaya Colony in Yousufguda in broad day light today. Two bullets were fired into his chest and one into his head. A critically injured Suri was rushed to the hospital and is battling for his life.

After the release of Ratha Charithiram, Maddelacheruvu Suri who saw the film in Bangalore was all praises for Suriya for his fantastic performance in the film. He reportedly had said that he has become a big fan of Suriya and also felt that in some scenes, Suriya’s eyes did not speak but screamed.

Celebrity Cricket League T20 (CCLT20) will be held during the last week of January 2011. Actors from film industries like Bollywood, Tollywood, Sandalwood, and Kollywood have confirmed their participation in this cricket league, so far.
